Blackpool Skills Academy is committed to providing parents, carers, students and stakeholders with clear and accurate information about student achievement, progress and destinations.
As a newly registered independent school, we are building our first sets of performance information. We are proud of the achievements our students are already making and will continue to publish meaningful information about achievement, qualifications and destinations as it becomes available.
Assessment and Progress
Assessment at Blackpool Skills Academy is designed to help students understand their strengths, recognise their achievements and identify the next steps in their learning.
We use a combination of baseline and diagnostic assessments, ongoing formative assessment, vocational performance, personal development measures and accredited qualifications to monitor progress. Assessment information is used to inform teaching, identify where additional support may be required and celebrate achievement.
For students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), individual progress is considered alongside identified needs, agreed outcomes and personalised targets. This is monitored through our individual planning, assessment and review arrangements.
Published Performance Data
Blackpool Skills Academy was registered as an independent school in August 2025 and has not yet completed sufficient reporting cycles to provide established national performance measures.
Where Department for Education performance information becomes available for Blackpool Skills Academy, parents and carers will also be able to access this through the Government's school performance services.

Student Achievement and Destinations
While established national performance measures are not yet available, we are pleased to celebrate the qualifications and progression achieved by our students.
Because Blackpool Skills Academy works with relatively small cohorts, we are mindful of our responsibility to protect individual student confidentiality when publishing results and destination information.

- 4 students achieved Functional Skills Mathematics Entry Level 3
- 4 students achieved Functional Skills English Entry Level 3
- 1 student achieved Functional Skills English Level 1
- 1 student achieved Functional Skills Mathematics Level 1
Student Destinations in 2025
- 2 students progressed to apprenticeships in Bricklaying
- 1 student progressed to an apprenticeship in Joinery
- 1 student progressed to a Level 2 Catering programme
Preparing students for successful progression into further education, training and employment is an important measure of success at Blackpool Skills Academy. We will continue to monitor and report destination outcomes as the School grows.
